Whether you’re new to composting or want to sharpen your skills, this day is packed with practical tips, hands-on demos, and good old-fashioned farm wisdom.

• The basics of composting: what to add, what to avoid

• Different composting methods (pile, bin, tumbler)

• How to manage moisture, airflow, and decomposition

• The role of worms, microbes, and time

• How The Farm Life uses compost to grow healthy plants and nourish the land

• Q&A sessions with our garden team

• Hands-on opportunities to build or turn compost

👨‍👩‍👧 All Are Welcome – Free to Attend!

Great for individuals, families, home gardeners, and school groups. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Notebook or garden journal

• Gloves (if you’d like to dig in)

• Reusable water bottle

• A compostable item or two from your kitchen to learn with!

Visit our friendly animals before or after the workshop—goats, chickens, and more are always happy to say hello.
